Gold Dubloon Cookies for a Pirate Party

We've already established that I have no baking talent, and that I'm lazy. But these cookies are the easiest party treat EVER, and they look really impressive when you're done.

You can decorate these however you want - chocolate and sprinkles come in every colour of the rainbow. But for today's post, we're making some delicious pirate gold.

All you need is:

  • Coloured sugar
  • Moulding chocolate (available at Michael's or Bulk Barn)
  • Oreos

First melt your chocolate. I nuke it for 10 - 20 seconds, stir, and then nuke a little more if necessary.

Don't let your chocolate get too hot, or it won't coat the Oreo properly (it will run right off the cookie). It's okay if it's a little lumpy - you can nudge those lumps off the cookie with your fork.

While your chocolate is still warm, sprinkle some coloured sugar on top. Now it's sparkly!

DONE. That's it. You can do this in 15 minutes the night before your party, and the sugar covers up any mistakes you make!
